The long forgotten sequel

Apologies in order for not responding to emails in the past couple of months (or more) and deliberately leaving the impression that I may have died. Or moved in with Teh Boyfriend, which would have been just as bad, or so it seems. :) No, seriously now, this time I have an excuse, although I wish I didn't. My grandmother's been having severe health problems and from what the doctors say, things will only get worse. Mainly, this kinda brought the whole family down and it brought me to the point where I had to re-evaluate my life entirely. So in light of recent events (and some other personal problems I had to face lately) the following decisions have been made. *cough* *adjusts tie*
No1Solo again and feeling pretty damn good about it too. No plans for the future whatsoever. Carpe Diem. Yeah. :)
No2. Moved back in with my mom; the news about my grandmother have affected her deeply so I thought she'll appreciate having me back. She does. Even if she might not admit it. :) But it feels good AND it saves me some time and money. Both will be well spent, that I can say. :)
No3. Quit my so-called job at the magazine. The schedule was chaotic and the people working there turned out to be..well...utter morons, to put it mildly. :)
No4.  After more than 20 years of living in this country, I realised I don't know half of it as much as I should so I finally fixed my car and started driving through the country. I see a busy summer ahead but I'm having a blast.
No5. I missed you guys. Ok, this doesn't count as a decision, it's just a simple fact. I've been trying to catch up with most of the LJs and blogs in my friends list and hopefully I'll be able to post on a regular basis, at least to let you know how things are coming along. :)

On a different note, I've been taking a LOT  of gorgeous (honestly, I'm not bragging, I really am NOT :) ) photos and I'll see if I can upload some of them.
Oh wait. Here they are.

PS: I'm still writing. Coming along nicely. Jess, I KNOW I promised I'd send you something but I couldn't bring myself to start translating anything yet. But I have not forgotten. :) I'm caught in the slowest re-write process known to man but but but at least it's a RE-write! *melts with excitement*

PS 2: Heike, if you read this, THANK you for the easter card!! *slaps herself hard for not responding in time*

Tomorrow I'll be leaving for a well deserved 3 day vacation. I cannot possibly express my thrill. I haven't been out of city for a few good months now. I'll be staying here and just look at what the view from my room will be. Pretty neat, ey?
Now I was just on my way out, I'm going to the university and check out my schedule for the next semester; after that I have to do some washing and start packing.
I'll be back on Tuesday!

Oh, and today's recommendation.
:)
No? Ok, so it's just me. *shrugs*

And yet, she lives. I know, I know.
Finished my exams yesterday with a not so well-deserved A (but I'm not complaining.) By the way, are we the only country out there where we DON'T use the alphabetical grading system? Just a curiosity.

So yeah, it's been a hectic month but what can I say, other than that it paid off. I'm still waiting my results for Archaic Societies in Ancient Greece but other than that, it's been a very good semester to finish. What now? A ten days vacation, hurrrrraaaaaay!

T. is planning  (yes, we're still together and having a wonderful time- for those who so kindly asked) to take me skiing. *rubs chin* Hmm, now that doesn't sound so appealing. Already tried it once, not so keen to do it again so I'm silently hoping there won't be much snow left to ski on.  Yes, I've been catching up on your entries and all I can say is "wow". It only snowed twice here this winter and it only lasted for about a day or so. We've been having extremely high-temperatures. I remember walking in a T-shirt in January (outside).
Thank you for your emails and messages, thought you got rid of me, right? Neeeah. :) 'll be answering soon, I just need to clean up a bit (my room looks like a battle-front: papers, notebooks, pens, highlighters, empty bottles, empty cans, empty cigarettes packs - oh..yeah..started smoking again.) Also I should be considering cutting down the coffee now that it's ok to SLEEP once in a while.

Oh oh oh! I've been writing! It seems that the only time I'm able to put something down on paper (or in this case, keyboard) is when I'm under a lot of stress. Now that's just great. What will I do now that it's over? Buuu.

So while I'll be cleaning this joint, you might wanna listen to Weird Al's latest tune (ok, I don't think it's his latest, but hey, it was to me) which I love.
Ebay
or you can browse The Dumb Network, a place where all dumb things get together and have a beer.

Ta ta!

PS: They stole it from us, our prrrecioussss!! I've been mugged yesterday in the tube! They took my phone! bastardos! One minute it was in my pocket, the next...*long pathetic snif* Gotta go buy a new one later this afternoon. I hate shopping for phones, I honestly do. The horror....

Ashes and Snow

While I was sitting here with a bowl of chips (New Year's party souvenir) I came across this portofolio. This is really worth seeing, in my opinion; the enhanced version is absolutely stunning. The photos, combined with the music, I'm telling you, it's an unique feeling. Go check it out when you're able.

Food for thought

“Seven to eleven is a huge chunk of life, full of dulling and forgetting. It is fabled that we slowly lose the gift of speech with animals, that birds no longer visit our windowsills to converse. As our eyes grow accustomed to sight they armor themselves against wonder.” Leonard Cohen
